Winter means snuggling up on the sofa with a blanket, enjoying a hot chocolate and warming yourself by a crackling log fire but, unfortunately, it tends to mean more blocked noses and sore throats too. My mother has a good remedy for those: inhaling herbal steam.
What to do:
All you need is some hot water and a handful of herbs. Boil the water and pour it into a large bowl. Add your chosen herbs and lean over the bowl. Drape a towel over your head so the steam can’t escape. Now breathe in and out slowly and let the herbs do their work. You’ll start feeling much better after ten minutes or so.
